Thank you for Helping Us Build DC's New School Report Card Tool!
The Office of the State Superintendent of Education, working with community partners and city agencies, is building a new school report card tool. The tool will give parents and families one place where they can get the information they need about our city’s public schools, both DCPS and charter. Last year, we asked families from across the city to tell us what was most meaningful to know about a school, and almost 1,900 responded. Along with some federally required information, that’s what you will see in the graphics in this survey.
Now that we know what should be ON the report card, it’s time to get feedback on how we should organize it on a website. That’s where YOU come in right now!
How the Survey Works
We took a first stab at organizing content on the website. You’ll be asked to look at five images representing key pages with data that families told us is most meaningful to them. We call these images “wireframes.” We will ask a series of questions about each of those images so that you can let us know what is landing in the right place, and what isn’t. After those questions, we will ask for your feedback on a few questions about how we should represent certain data points on the report card.
This activity should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
Thank you for your time and feedback!
